TIP recently welcomed Jeff Mohl to the team as an Executive Benefits Consultant. Jeff has nearly 40 years of employee benefits and insurance distribution experience and is looking forward to collaborating with brokers to find the right solution for their clients.

Q. Welcome to TIP, Jeff. With this new gig, what are you most excited about?
A. I’m excited to help my broker colleagues in an area where they may not have expertise or the time to spend learning on their own.
Q. What is your territory?
A. The greater Chicago marketplace – which as we know is a great place to do business!
Q. What opportunities do you see?
A. I see the potential to open an untapped revenue source for brokers outside of traditional benefits, plus the opportunity to enhance their reputation and set them up as experts for their clients.
Q. What have been some of your biggest successes for clients?
A. Cementing client relationships in an area that helps to retain key employees.
Q. Why are you passionate about what you do?
A. I am enthusiastic about paycheck protection and executive compensation. It’s an area within employer-sponsored benefits that often gets passed over in spite of the importance for the executive’s financial well-being.
Q. What strengths are you bringing to TIP?
A. During my nearly four decades in the employee benefits space I have had incredible training and life experiences that I bring to my consultive role within TIP.
Q. Why do you want clients to succeed?
A. Beyond the obvious satisfaction of a job well done, I want my clients to use our expertise to grow revenue within their current block of business. I also want to help position them as experts among the decision-making executives in their market so they can acquire additional accounts.
Q. What are you passionate about outside of work?
A. I am passionate about my family. I want them to be happy in their personal and professional lives. My spouse and I love travel and seeking new life experiences, adventures and activities.
Q. What’s different about TIP?
A. The formula for success. It starts with the leaders and the technology they have developed around the products we represent.
Q. What is your background? What is most relevant to TIP clients?
A. As a carrier rep in the Chicago market for 39 years, I have developed a unique view of the changes in the market. I understand the need to stay on top of the latest technologies and distribution opportunities.
